27. A person, partnership or other entity applying for a personnel placement agency licence must provide security of $15,000.
The security guarantees the execution of an irrevocable judgment or a transaction following the exercising, by the Commission, of a civil recourse referred to in Division I of Chapter V of the Act respecting labour standards (chapter N-1.1), concerning a pecuniary obligation fixed by that Act or any of the regulations thereunder, where the licence holder or one of the client enterprises using the services of the licence holder fails to pay an amount owed to an employee assigned to the client enterprise. It does not cover the lump sum referred to in the first paragraph of section 114 of the Act respecting labour standards.
